More than 1,500 individuals participate in a walk to support underprivileged communities during Tet in Ho Chi Minh City

Residents, employees, and executives of companies in Ho Chi Minh City came together for a walk organized by the administration, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee chapter, and the business association in District 3.

The program helped raise over VND3.3 billion (US$134,700).

Speaking at the opening ceremony of the program, Vice-Chairwoman of the People’s Committee of District 3, Pham Thi Thuy Hang, mentioned that many enterprises in Ho Chi Minh City have always supported underprivileged residents, especially during the Tet holiday, despite the challenges faced in 2023.

Hang added that this humane act shows their affection and social responsibility.

Bui Thi Nhan, a 47-year-old resident, suggested expanding the program to other wards and districts to help more people enjoy a warm Tet.
